13th Annual Top O'the Towers Benefit Night!

March 5, 2010
LaCentre Conference and Banquet Facility

25777 Detroit Road, Westlake OH

Dear Friends,

On Friday, March 5, 2010, the 13th Annual Top O’ the Towers Benefit Night will honor the Coterie of St. Augustine ~ our women’s auxiliary ~ and our Residents who have been touched by the gift of time, talent and treasure given by the Coterie over the past 39 years.

We invite you to make a difference in the lives of the chronically ill and elderly of our community by supporting this important event. As we continue to provide health care and housing to the chronically ill and elderly, most of whom are un/underinsured, we are faced with rising costs and declining reimbursements due to recent budget cuts in the state of Ohio for non-profit nursing facilities. Many services once covered by Medicaid, such as wheelchairs, physical therapy, speech therapy, over-the-counter medications, oxygen and transportation to and from all doctor’s appointments, are no longer covered in full. The burden now falls on the nursing facilities to cover the majority of these costs with little re-imbursement. These items are vital to the health and well-being of the people we serve.  All proceeds from this year’s event will be used to cover the cost of these necessities.

This year’s event is moving to LaCentre in Westlake and will take place from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. As always, it will  include delicious hors d’ oeuvres, beer, wine, and a silent and live auction. Entertainment will be provided by Michael Crawley & Marys Lane. Approximately 500 will be in attendance. Your support is extremely important.   Click here for a map to LaCentre.

St. Augustine Health Campus, a non-profit 501(c)3, annually provides health care, rehabilitation & housing to over 800 individuals in need, regardless of religion or financial status (many whom would not receive care elsewhere)  through our skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living and hospice. 80% of those served by St. Augustine receive Medicaid.

While many facilities are moving into the suburbs, St. Augustine Health Campus has been a leader in the community for over 40 years - serving the elderly and those with multiple chronically illnesses.  We are dedicated to remaining in the city of Cleveland, where all have access to quality care in a "life-giving" not life-limiting environment.
